Alice Wylie

Alice has been teaching yoga in the DC area since 2004 and is an E-RYT500 through Yoga Alliance. She received her training through Tranquil Space and Hot Yoga. Alice received her B.S. in Ballet and French from Indiana University and continued to dance professionally in ballet, modern, and contemporary companies for over 12 years, touring, performing, and teaching internationally. Her varied experiences with dance, for which she is deeply grateful, have helped inform and influence all of her teaching.

Rexx Samuell

Rexx Anthony Samuell is a yoga teacher and trainer. He is registered with the Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT-200-hour level and is a certified personal trainer through National Academy of Sport Medicine. Introduced to yoga while studying theatre and dance at university, Rexx started practicing Ashtanga Yoga in 2002, completing Primary Series in 2003 and Intermediate Series in 2006. Since 2008, Rexx's current practice includes Advanced A and Baddha Krama. He is one of only 10 teachers in America authorized to teach the Moon Sequence (Chandra Krama). Rexx has attended workshops with Matthew Sweeney, Richard Freeman, David Wililams, Godfrey Devereux, and Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. He studies regularly with his main teacher, Matthew Sweeney, in Bali.
Rexx is known for his clarity of instruction, his attention to an individual’s needs, and his emphasis on freedom through disciplined practice. His classes are sequenced based upon the needs of the students and draw heavily from an understanding of the principles of movement and progression. Through concentration on alignment within the postures, free breathing and directed gaze, the practices of yoga can be gateways to greater awareness which then seeps into other areas of one’s life.

Lisa Loring

Lisa Loring has been practicing and studying yoga for over 24 years. Her main certifications in two complementing yoga traditions; Embodyoga and Forrest Yoga with additional certifications in Yin Yoga, Adaptive Yoga and Pranayama and Meditation.

Embodyoga uses the fluidity of vinyasa to explore the poses and move with ease. Forrest Yoga is more of a hatha style with a great emphasis on alignment and an invitation to deepen the breath as a way focus and deepen experiences of the poses and the practice.

Lisa weaves principles from Yin, Meditation and Yogic Philosophy into every class and also teaches these practices in stand-alone classes that feature their best aspects. Furthermore, she incorporates techniques from these perspectives with modified movements in Adaptive classes in order to open yoga to older and mobility challenged populations.

Connecting the dots between the practice of yoga and real life is Lisa’s passion. She strives to teach yoga in a way that offers a path to living life skillfully and in a way that feels healthy, more functional and whole. Angela Heverling

Angela completed her 200-hour teacher training at Flow Yoga Center in Washington, DC in 2012. She has since completed Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Corina Brenner in Philadelphia. In addition to her yoga practice, Angela is a marathoner and trail runner and credits her yoga practice with helping to keep her strong, flexible, and injury free. Angela believes that yoga can improve all aspects of one’s life and should, therefore, be lighthearted, fun, and accessible to all.

Rhiannon Landesberg

Rhiannon is a Washington DC based yoga teacher, where she shares her deep passion for the practices of yoga and mindfulness full-time to children and adults in schools, studios and community settings. She completed her yoga teacher training with Faith Hunter, whose spiritually fly teachings have inspired her to lead her life from a place of authenticity and love. Regardless of age or experience level, Rhiannon's classes cultivate a sense of play, freedom, compassion, creativity and connection to the self and the world around us. Join her for a moderately challenging, yet restorative, music inspired vinyasa flow class. Rhiannon is a certified instructor by the Yoga Alliance.
The class includes a proper full body warm-up, mindful movement and sequencing, attention to safe alignment, and clear guidance of breath-initiated flow. While the class is geared toward the intermediate practitioner, modifications are made to suit newer students and variations for the more experienced student.

This is not a hot yoga class. The studio temperature will be adjusted depending on outside weather conditions to suit the comfort level of students and to optimize the benefits of the practice. Usually, the temperature will range between 76 degrees and 80 degrees, with the maximum being the exception rather than the rule.
