Vinyasa I/II

This class is taught by:

Mary Hein

Mary received her RYT-200 Hatha Flow certification in 2015 through YogaYoga in Austin, Texas. Since completing her initial training, Mary has taught in Austin; Portland, Oregon; Washington, DC; and various settings around the world including rock gyms, breweries, hostels, beaches, and parks. Mary found her way to yoga after many years of dancing, and was naturally drawn towards vinyasa flow. Her flow based classes are designed to be welcoming and fun for all levels and will encourage you to challenge yourself, both mentally and physically, while maintaining a conscious and steady breath. Although most of her experience is in both teaching and practicing vinyasa, she recently completed a 50 hour continuing education course in yin yoga and is excited to incorporate this newfound knowledge into her classes.

Audrey Roxas

Audrey has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and initially sought it as a way to take a break from the daily work pressures. As her practice matured, she has also realized the spiritual and quieting benefits of yoga – the ability to stop the chatter and just be still. Certified at the 500 hour level, her classes are fun, dynamic, and challenging. They are focused on building strength and stability (aiming for form versus depth) but offers plenty of room for students to work on expanding their own practice. With her continued desire to share her practice, she is also certified in the healing art of Thai Yoga (assisted yoga) and Restorative Yoga (through Judith Hanson Lasater). She attributes her love for yoga, her center, and grounding from all the wonderful teachers she has and had.

This Vinyasa class is directed at all students. It is physically demanding as it is especially meant to take the tiredness and stress out of a work week.

In class, students can expect to build heat in this flowing, well being practice. Breath and movement are syncopated to calm the nervous system and energize the body. Students will flush their joints, break into a sweat, and restore the mobility compromised by hours of sitting on a chair.
