Beginners' Yoga Series Starts October 12

Gentle Yoga Short Course

This class is taught by:

Sarah Hull

Sarah, a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT), stepped into her first asana class back in 2007 and started attending Iyengar yoga classes in 2009. Sarah offers classes focused on balance, strength, and alignment to explore the yogic principles of sithra and sukha – strength and ease. She maintains regular study with her mentor Doerthe Braun and further ongoing study with senior teachers including Manouso Manos, Lois Steinberg, and John Schumacher. In her classes, Sarah looks to honor and share the teachings of her teachers, their teachers, and inspire others.
Iyengar Yoga is based on alignment of the body and precision in the poses. It is, therefore, an ideal method of starting or re-starting the practice of yoga in a scientific way. It is also aimed to those looking for a slower paced yoga practice that will bring mobility and strength to the neck, shoulders, spine, and legs, and will open the chest. This is a gently paced Iyengar yoga course that utilizes the support of props to aid in the cultivation of stability, balance, and mobility of the full body. The use of props and precision in instruction aid in helping the practitioner bring awareness to the physical body.
Dates: Mondays October 16, 23, 30, November 6.
Full course $60 per student
Drop-in class $20 per student
