Managing Stress and Cultivating Resilience (4 Week Course)

Robin Glantz

Robin Glantz is a 500-hour Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT-500), and a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), both in the Viniyoga tradition under the guidance of Gary Kraftsow. Robin invites her students to begin from where they are, and practice with an intention of self-awareness and self-discovery. Connecting to our breath, Robin uses yoga poses ("asana"), breathwork ("pranayama"), and meditation to integrate mind, body and spirit. After class, you can expect to feel energized yet calm, peaceful and nourished. Viniyoga adapts to the individual needs of each student and is wonderful for all levels of practitioners. Robin teaches group classes, as well as therapeutic workshops on diverse topics such as Insomnia and Managing Stress. She also works with private clients on structural, physiological and emotional issues. Robin is a Level-1 Lifeforce Yoga practitioner and an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. Prior to teaching yoga, she spent her career at the World Bank after Harvard Business School, and lives in AU Park with her husband.  
WHAT: A 4-week course designed to understand and reduce stress in our lives. The course is an integrated series of sequential classes that build on one another and are designed to help students recognize the body’s stress mechanism, the impact of stress on our lives, and how yoga can help us cultivate self-awareness to manage our reaction to stress. The four classes introduce increasingly sophisticated gentle yoga tools (poses, breathing, and meditation) to reduce the effects of stress. The classes will cover: 1) the impacts of chronic stress and relieving muscular-skeletal tension and headaches; 2) understanding major stressors, and a morning stress practice; 3) noticing habits and lifestyle management tools for stress, identifying one habit you would like to change, and an evening stress practice; and 4) strategies to manage anxiety around stress.
 
WHO: Suitable for all levels (prior yoga experience is not necessary).
 
WHEN: Classes will run on November 15th, 29th, December 6th & 13th.
 
ABOUT ROBIN: Led by Robin Glantz, a 500-hour Yoga Instructor and a 500-hour Yoga Therapist, both in the Viniyoga tradition. Robin is also a Lifeforce Yoga Level 1 Practitioner and a Certified Nutritional Health Coach.
