WYC Celebrates 5 Years

We are so excited to recognize the 5 years that the Washington Yoga Center Community has stood strong. There have been a lot of changes and adjustments but what hasn’t changed is how much we value our amazing community of students and teachers! Know that even though we are no longer meeting in person – we look forward to seeing everyone of you online and connecting in our virtual space!

Free Gentle Yoga Class

Lead by Robin Glantz

Fri, October 23, 2020,  6:00-7:15 PM

In this class we will explore poses (asana), breath (pranayama), chanting and meditation through the Viniyoga tradition. Viniyoga is a gentle, breath-centric style that emphasizes the unique needs of each individual to achieve self-discovery and connect mind/body/spirit. Yoga is about recognizing and clearing away our obstacles, so we can be our best true selves. After class, you can expect to feel energized, yet calm, peaceful and nourished. This class is appropriate for all levels of yoga experience and all ranges of physical ability.

Volunteer 3-4 hours a week for free yoga class, reduced cost of special events and workshops, and a big role in our inspirational community!

In addition to the small management team, Washington Yoga Center is run by community members from the studio’s surrounding neighborhood, and around the country. These community members volunteer 3-4 hours a week helping with virtual classes and other studio activites. They are a huge reason why WYC has been able to offer great yoga for the past 5 years!

In exchange for 3-4 volunteer hours per week Washington Yoga Center volunteers enjoy free unlimited weekly classes, discounted workshops, access to the video library, and a leading role in their yoga community. While many volunteers stay on for years, we ask for at least a three month commitment.

If you’re interested in volunteering with us, please email info@washingtonyogacenter.com with your current availibitly.
