Jill has been a yoga practitioner for 30 years and a teacher for over 15.
Prior to becoming a yoga instructor, Jill worked in the Information Technology field as a software trainer and tech support manager. She is a teacher’s teacher: assisting with yoga teacher trainings with a particular focus on Ayurveda (the umbrella science of yoga) and yoga philosophy (which she is passionate about).
As a young mother, Jill began teaching yoga to children of all ages after receiving her Budding Yogis certification with Circle Yoga. In 2007, Jill became a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200 level through Inner Domain and has since accumulated close to 300 additional hours of yoga and other trainings (she is a certified reflexologist, reiki master, and hospice caregiver). She has taught, and continues to teach at, schools, studios, and hospitals throughout the area and provides private individual and group instruction at various locations.
Her vinyasa flow style classes are well-rounded with challenging sequences that incorporate thoughtful cues, yoga philosophy, energizing music, and careful attention to alignment and breath. Her classes are often described as being at once physically demanding and soothing with plenty of options for arm balances, inversions, or taking breaks in restorative poses.
