Meet Susan Hanan

Susan is known for teaching well-sequenced, creative classes that focus on strength, flexibility, balance and alignment.

Susan Hanan (E-RYT, 500) received her ISHTA training in New York City under Alan Finger, co-founder of Yoga Works.  She is known for teaching creative, energetic classes that focus on strength, flexibility, balance and alignment.  She has been practicing yoga for over twenty years

She believes yoga to be a healthy, integral part of daily life and she works closely with her students to help each and every one find a successful practice.  In 2007 and 2008 she had the privilege of teaching yoga at the White House to First Lady Laura Bush.  In more recent years she also taught former first lady Michelle Obama.
Susan enjoys her personal practice and learning from others, as much as she enjoys assisting her students.  She practices Iyengar and Bikram yoga in addition to her own flow practice and more recently has incorporated Yin into her teaching and personal practice
Susan and her husband Lars are avid cyclists and hikers and enjoy traveling to places where they can do both.   They are parents to three grown sons.
